A brief history of Pagero
The Pagero Network is born
Started by three graduates from the Chalmers University of Technology, the foundations of what would become Pagero started as a solution for payment instructions and to cater to changing invoice mandates within the B2G sector. The technology then evolved into the Pagero platform – an innovative, open, cloud-based alternative to locally-installed B2G and B2B software solutions.
Pagero establishes itself as an electronic service provider within the Nordic region, including Sweden, Norway, Iceland and Finland.
Peppol and microservices
Pagero becomes an approved Peppol access point in Norway, going on to become a trusted Peppol advisor across Europe and Asia. Pagero also moves towards microservices to enable a globally-scalable, future-proof platform.
Pagero’s technology pioneers full interoperability for all document types across the order-to-cash and purchase-to-pay processes, ensuring businesses can exchange invoice and order-related documents seamlessly, regardless of their service provider.
Pagero is quickly adopted by governments and businesses due to its leading technical infrastructure and expertise, resulting in Pagero expanding to over 50 markets within 5 years, including Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
Freight Solutions and zero downtime
The 2017 acquisition of Primelog extends Pagero’s services to the complex operations of freight invoice management. New offices are established throughout Europe, including Spain, UK and France, and Pagero achieves the technical milestone of becoming a ‘zero downtime’ platform, where customer requests and document processing are possible even during service releases.
Pagero extends its capabilities and deepens its offering within the healthcare industry with the acquisition of German-based Health Business Solutions. New operations are established in the US, India and Singapore.
Pagero Free is launched – a free service to enable better operations for small and medium enterprises – as well as Pagero’s new web portal and extended partner capabilities. With expanded operations in Australasia, the Middle East and Latin America, Pagero moves to 24/5 support services across all time zones.
